Testimony from Natalie B
Over the past few years of my life my family and I have received some of the best care available to families in need of help and services. I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder, PTSD, major depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder, so living with me can sometimes be very difficult. I have been in and out of hospitals for many years now, putting my family through some very hard times, but we all made it through with the help of some very special people. Some of the people that helped us were the staff and therapists and doctors at the psychiatric center, they were there for me and my family when I was younger and going through some rough spots. Another group of people that helped me and my family tremendously were the people who are involved in the wraparound system, these people helped us through thick and thin for two years, they were there night and day no matter what. Being in wraparound helped me gain more coping skills and learn how to deal with the real world. It also helped me meet new people by introducing me to new support groups and youth leadership groups. So thanks to these people I have learned to cope in many new ways and deal with my problems in a healthy way, which has lead me to be a better person.
