The NYS Office of Mental Health's Cultural Competence (CC) Strategic Plan has been developed to reduce mental health disparities experienced by traditionally underserved and underrepresented individuals. The CC Strategic Plan takes into account the public health goal of improving access to all underserved populations, and the NYS OMH goal of providing services that move all consumers—including adults, children and youth—towards resiliency and recovery.
