High Risk Quality Collaborative

Overview of Project

The High-Risk Quality Collaborative (HRQC) is an initiative to support Medical and Psychiatric ERs and CPEPs in identifying and improving care for individuals at high behavioral health risk. Starting in 2019, HRQC participating hospitals will first receive access to and support in using the PSYCKES application. They will then work together with academic experts to identify and implement best practices for screening, assessment and discharge planning for patients at risk to themselves, others and of poor outcomes. HRQC sponsors include:

  • Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA)
  • Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS)
  • New York State Department of Health (DOH)
  • Office of Mental Health (OMH)
  • Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)
