ABOUT US

The Office of Mental Health is a provider of services and an oversight agency for not-for-profit, and a handful of for-profit, mental health programs.

Central Office is responsible for:

  • providing leadership for the State's the mental health system.
  • setting the State's mental health policy.
  • monitoring and oversight of mental health services and programs operated by local governments and nonprofit agencies of New York.

There are approximately 1000 Central Office employees between the main office, the Field Offices, the Cook Chill Production Center, and the Print Shop.
