The Central New York Psychiatric Center is a comprehensive mental health service delivery system providing a full range of care and treatment to persons incarcerated in the New York State and county correctional system.
Our inpatient/outpatient system is accredited by JCAHO. We are the only statewide Correctional/Mental Health system in the United States to have obtained such distinction.

Special Interest to Employees
We provide training programs for all departments/ disciplines which provide CME credits and certificates.
A shared Quality of Work-life Facility is available to employees for business and personal functions. We have a comprehensive Activity Center available to staff at designated times. The facility is smoke-free.
Our statewide Medical Staff Organization (MSO) consists of approximately 60 physicians.
All clinical departments have affiliation agreements with major universities for internship placement. We also offer academic benefits/appointments for clinical supervisors. We operate a Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry in affiliation with SUNY Upstate and the Syracuse University College of Law.
