SERVICES

Inpatient Treatment
Rockland Children's admits youth 11 through 18 years old who need inpatient psychiatric care. This is the highest level of care in the mental health system. We offer intensive, family-based treatment with the goal of returning the child back to their home and community.

  • Academic Program

  • Our school is a full day program. We assign students to classes according to age, academic level, and state mandates. Classes are small and focus on achieving or maintaining age-appropriate academic level.

Outpatient Programs

  • Intensive Day Treatment Programs

  • These short-term crisis intervention programs run in collaboration with BOCES and local school districts. The programs provide a 30-45 day treatment and educational setting for children and adolescents in acute emotional distress.

Family participation and communication are essential to student success. We offer short-term family therapy related to treatment goals. Telehealth services are available for families when needed.

  • Day Treatment Programs

  • Day Treatment is a collaborative special education program between school districts, BOCES and Rockland Children's PC. We are responsible for the daily therapeutic services, while schools are responsible for the student’s education.

The goal is to help students learn coping and interpersonal skills while fostering healthy development. Telehealth services are available for families when needed.

  • Rockland Children’s Clinic Programs

  • Our clinic programs are available at community school buildings. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where youth can receive treatment according to their needs. Staff include experienced child psychiatrists and clinical social workers.

  • Admission and Referral

    • Admission to the inpatient facility is by referral hospitals, emergency rooms, or courts.
    • Admission to Day Treatment and Intensive Day Treatment is through the local schools and BOCES programs.
