ABOUT US

Rockland Psychiatric Center is one of 24 state-run psychiatric facilities in New York State. We provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support to adults 18 and older with serious mental illness. In collaboration with local agencies, our goal is to ensure long-lasting recovery and support.

RPC is a member of the Hudson Valley Cares Coalition and Community Health Care Cooperative.

SERVICES

Rockland PC has services at many levels of care including:

  • Inpatient/hospital-based care
  • Ambulatory/outpatient clinic care
  • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams
  • Mobile mental health team (Sullivan County)
  • Residential programs

RPCs hospital-based services include focused treatment units for:

  • Deaf adults
  • Geriatrics
  • Co-occurring substance disorders

Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Sullivan, Putnam, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties and the Greater NYC Region.

Age Groups Served
18 and up.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

RPC is affiliated with New York University and has a close relationship with the Nathan Kline Institute (NKI). RPC and NKI share a campus and our research unit is co-run with NKI.

RPC offers Internships and Externships through our Department of Psychology.
