The Office of Mental Health is seeking proposals to contract with three (3) Article 28 facilities committed to the Peer Bridger model. The facilities must have inpatient psychiatric units that support individuals from hospital to community through Peer Bridger services.
The model is a person-first approach that helps foster hope and independence. Bridger services include skills training and mentorship.
Each of three hospitals will receive $300,000 per year for five years to operate a Peer Bridger program. The total amount per year will be $900,000.
