Supportive Housing Guidelines
These Guidelines apply to the operation of permanent supportive housing units funded by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) either through direct contract or through Local Government Unit (LGU) contracts.
Supportive Housing settings include scattered-site or single-site developments. They include units developed under OMH’s Supportive Single Room Occupancy (SP-SRO) initiatives or the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI)

Trainings
Reporting Rehabilitative and Tenancy Support Services in CAIRS
Beginning 1/1/2023, providers who opt to receive state aid for RTS Services must report service delivery in the Children and Adult Integrated Reporting System (CAIRS). We are holding webinars in December and January for staff responsible for monthly reporting in CAIRS

Technical Assistance for Supportive Housing Rehabilitative and Tenancy Support (RTS) SPA Implementation
OMH is providing six (6) open forums for providers of OMH supportive housing, SP-SROs, and CR-SROs that opt to receive State Aid for Medicaid-reimbursable RTS Services.
