Intensive and Sustained Engagement Teams (INSET) are a peer-led approach that support individuals on their recovery journey. Forensic INSET builds on this model, adjusting for involvement with the criminal justice system.
These teams provide voluntary, flexible, and continuous support to people diagnosed with a mental health condition. The program is for people who have been marginalized, underserved, or unserved by the traditional mental health system. INSET teams meet people in the community, delivering services and referrals where and when they are needed.

The Office of Mental Health seeks to grant an award to a peer-run organization to create one Forensic INSET team. Location preference will be given to regions expecting or that already have a Forensic ACT team.
